Daniel Fox, MD, FACS, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who has been serving Toms River, New Jersey, and the surrounding communities since 1989. At the Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine PA, Dr. Fox is an expert in all aspects of orthopedic surgery and specializes in treating shoulders, knees, wrists, and hands. Dr. Fox is also an expert in sports medicine and total joint replacements.
Dr. Fox earned his bachelor's degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, before completing his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/New Jersey Medical School (currently known as the Rutgers University School of Biomedical and Health Sciences). Dr. Fox served his orthopedic residency at the Albert Einstein Medical School Affiliated Hospitals and the Bronx Lebanon Medical Center in New York City. He also spent a year at the Joint Diseases Orthopedic Institute in New York City.
Further, Dr. Fox completed rigorous fellowship training in upper extremities at the University of Florida, where he also acted as assistant team physician for the University of Florida Gators, where he developed a passion for treating sports injuries.
Dr. Fox takes a special interest in emerging orthopedic treatments and best practices including platelet-rich plasma injections, stem cell therapy, and laser surgery. He offers minimally invasive treatments as alternatives to knee replacements, as well as the Oxford partial knee procedure and the sub-chondroplasty procedure.
